Its harder to love a person...because that involves caring about them and accepting them as they are.

Hi there. Interesting question. Sounds like your having some relationship problems? It shouldn't be hard to love as it is a pleasure , however it can be very hard to love someone if you feel they are abusing your kindness and trust. An example of this is forgiving over and over for the same mistakes, you end up feeling like the other person is having a deadset lend of you and it ends up taking away from yourself and it creates alot of anger within. On the other hand hating someone is as equally hard if you love them .You find yourself trying to create excuses or make out's for them and in doing so you live without full trust and continual uncertainty. The saying goes..... there is a fine line between love and hate and its so true. A word of advice. You can't control what someone else does no matter how much love you give them,. At the end of the day they are going to do what they choose. You can only control what you do! In saying that , start working on yourself doing the things that making you happy , create clear boundaries within the relationship as to what you will except and what you wont and stick to that no matter what !!! Because as another saying goes and truer words were never spoken......... Some people will take your kindness for weakness. Goodluck

Definitely to LOVE as love is unconditional it has no bounds or prejudices. As human beings we are not perfect and always see faults and traits we dislike and even HATE in other people. It is therefore much easier to be negative and hate. Even though love is free and unconditional it is harder for a person to surrender everything and be vulnerable and love. Love doesn't come easy but is the best thing in the world yet the most difficult thing to give.

i believe to hate a person is harder. Coz u need to be consistently hating the person n think of a way to do a revenge back. Is veri tiring to hate a person unlike loving someone is come from ur heart and is veri natural.

depends on your personality. A person with anger management would love to hate someone, but a regular person would think the hating is harder.

I think to love a person is a lot harder than to hate him/her because love is uncontrollable and you can control hate. You hate a person based on certain ideas or actions and you can continue to cling onto those idea/actions that have caused you to hate them in the first place. Love, however, cannot be stopped until it runs its full course. I guess that's why you can hate someone, but still love them (ie your relatives or someone hehe). Love is kind of a given, whereas hate is developed.

It depends on the person. Some are harder to love....some are harder to hate.

Hate is so much harder as you are the only one feeling the hate and the person you hate feels nothing.
Whereas love can be reciprocal and easy to do.

Hi Thomas, This is a very good question. It's easier to hate a person, but to love the right person,is sometimes very hard. It depends really on the person.

It is sooo much easier to hate a person.

You can love a person so much, and then find out that they don't love you back, that hurts. Pain is usually a part of love. That's just an example of how it's harder to LOVE a person than it is to hate them.

An example of hate is like having someone cut you off when you're driving. Then you be like "EY! I HATE that guy!! He cut me off!" Now THAT is so much easier than loving someone.

I say loving someone takes more energy and experience.
