I am on the Nuva Ring and have been having issues for the past few months with headaches, terrible mood swings, extreme breast tenderness, and I hate sex. I just read the side effects and I have every common side effect accept one. I have tried ortho tri-cyclen as well but the headaches and it was a little strong. I am looking for a birth control with minimal mood swings and weight gain

The nuva ring has come out before during sex, and the scary thing is you don't feel it inside you and you definitely don't feel it come out. I also pms horribly and having a period every 3 weeks is a bit much because as soon as I remove it my period is here the very next day

I've only ever tried one kind of birthcontrol pill. And i hear everyone is different when it comes to side effects and birth control.
I take Levlen.
I dont think it made me gain any weight like some women report for birth control.
My period is lighter. And lasts only a couple days or so. It's like i barely have one.
I still get cramps every so often though in the beginning of my period. But its not that bad. Just take some midol like normal.
And no other side effects to complain about whatsoever. I guess i lucked out. I have heard some horror stories about women and their bad experiences with birth control.

I have been on Yasmin for 4 yrs and I have not had any side effects but shorter and lighter periods, which is good, I used to be on ortho tri and I also got HA. The nuva ring scares me. Did it ever come out?

If you are getting the headaces from birth control then almost any type of hormonal birth control will gvie you headaches. Why not try something like the today sponge or use the vaginal contraceptive film or the suppositories.

Natural family planning. If you know what you are doing, can be as effective as the pill.

just stay away from the depo provera shot. they only tell you the "benefits" of it and leave out all of the truth behind it.
