Respect should be earned, not demanded.

I demand nothing. I hope to get respect and I always give it unless I am having a really bad day. Then it is possible that I am troubled to the point where I might say something I don't really mean out of shear frustration. The person I don't give enough respect to is myself. Tomorrow the last day of the year will be for me respecting me. Hopefully I won't have to put myself down for the next 364 days.

I found out a long time ago that if you don't 'demand' respect you are more likely to get it than if you do. I am respected by most people because of who I am and how I act, not by 'respect-on-demand'.

I can't demand something that's earned, so I work towards it. I value the respect of some people more than others too.

i don't nessasarily demand respect, i kind of earn it thats the way it should be anyway. i do though demand respect in some ways like men swearing in front of me which i detest and kind of flash a look to. i also demand respect about racism i can't stand that kind of narrow mind behavior and make it known to change the subject. so i guess in some ways i do thinking about it as i write this mayby we all do in a way~

to get respect you have to give it to others first. so i place my demands by being respectful of others.
