Try this, it has been successful for me in the past.
It's a web site that will allow you to upload a photo and send it to your cell phone in the form of a txt message.

I know it doesn't look all that credible because of all the advertisements on the top and bottom of the page, but thats what keeps it free.
I was able to send a small photo from my computer to my phone and then set it as the background and i was also able to send an mp3 to my phone which it converted to some sort of midi file format so my phone could play it.
I couldn't figure out how to set that as the ring tone though.
It works though.
Also if you have a card that fits in your phone, that you can fit into a card reader in your computer that works too.
Something like an SD card or a mini SD or micro SD card.
Thats what I have no but before that I used that website.
