I've been on the pill for just about two years. My husband and I are planning to conceive this spring. Before I was on the pill I had very irregular periods. Is it best for me to wait and go off the pill when we're ready to conceive or go off the pill soon and wait for a few months to start trying?

Being on the pill would not influence your lengthy time period fertility, besides the actual undeniable truth that it would want to take a lengthy time period for some females to ovulate lower back once they arrive of it. have you ever had sessions yet? once you've that's probable only a be counted of time and also you've an same chance of having pregnant each and each month as all and sundry, that's about a one in 4 chance apparently. i became on the pill for 13 years and were given pregnant 3 months after I got here off it which became my first time of attempting.

Medical experts say that as soon as you go off the pill you can get pregnant straight away. I've known lots of people who have conceived very quickly after going off the pill. Other people say it's taken a couple of years but i wonder if it is because of the pill or because that's how long it would take them anyway. If you are prepared to get pregnant straight away then it would be a good idea to go off the pill now.

Every person is different. You just have to know when you ovulate (ovalation tests for that) and let nature takes its course from there. It can be very frustrating and make take a few months or so. They don't consider doing tests on you to check for infertility until you have tried for a year unsuccessfully.
