If you live in the U.S. you need to petition the court. It’s usually a pretty simple process. Once your name has been legally changed then you can have it changed on your social security card, driver’s license, etc.

seek free legal advise is the best answer also go to your registry office these two people will have the only answer for you hope this is some what helpful. i know someone who changed their name dont quote me but i think they paid £50 no sure

Honestly, i think it is not right to change your name legally! I think it is very rude to your parents! I mean put yourself in their position, you have a kid, lets just say and you name then "john" because its named after your great uncle or possibly they just liked the name, and then they get older and they hate it! what would you think if they went out and changed it! I think a name describes a person! Like my name is SAM and when i do something crazy(hi ch i always do) people look at me and say "that's just SAM" it describes me! i mean i don't necessarily like my name either but, hey my parents named me so i can deal with it!

I did. It was just approved last June dis year. If you're a Filipino citizen, go to the Municipal/City Civil Registra's Office.

my brother changed his, you go to the social security office with your ss card and birth certificate and picture id, pay like 50 dollars i think , and they will change it
