My roommate poured paint thinner into her clogged drain. The drain is still clogged, and as such the paint thinner hasn't gone away and is stinking up the house. Is there any way to neutralize the smell until we get someone to clear the clog?

Put a bowl of vinegar on the counter and leave it over night, It
works for so many odors, so why not Paint thinner, Do it a few
nights, For the drain get a Plunger and try to unclog the drain, and pour hot water down it. Do not let your room mate put any other products down the drain.

That was stupid to do what he did.1. Boiled about 1 gallon of hot water open a box of Armer&Hammer baking soda pure the box down the drain with the gallon of water, this should clean your drain and keep it smelling fresh.2.Bleach work great but sometime it make the stomach sick, and throat.3.Frabic softners, plenty of hot water, liquid driano and baking soda after.4.Buy a wet vaccum suck up all the craps and flushes it down the toilet, a heavy duty vaccum, does the tricks andthe blower on the opposite side protect your eyes.

DON'T use Drano and bleach unless you intend to clear the house out and sleep at Grandma's for a few days -or unless your life insurance is fully paid-up! When they mix in the pipes, they'll make fumes like the gas chambers at Alcatraz! Bleach and ammmonia will also knock you out. Use care and judgment in what you dump down that drain!
