My ipod nano is corrupted and i cant rset it to factory settings on itunes hodw do i fix it?

I believe there is a 'reset' hole in the back of the IPOD to reset and it will put things to the factory settings. You will have to use a paper clip to insert into the small hole - or something small like that.
