So i was at a party and a girl fell down the stairs when she walked back up the stairs i busted out laughing right in her face loud and annoying. If i wouldve laughed at her the moment she fell it wouldve been funny but i did it after she walked back up....anyways....Everyone glared at me and said wow you must be really drunk. I felt really awful after I appoligized to the girl and told my friends that i felt bad about it, but they keep bringing it up, my one friend even did the laugh for me so i could hear how annoying it was...it really isnt a big deal but its just out of character of me to do that and i dont want to be seen as the drunk girl who acts out of control. What would u do?! i cant get this off my mind! Oh and the girl who fell was ok she didnt get hurt

*sigh* I know it's funny I would have laughed too, INTERNALLY!! As you get older, you'll get better at it and have little gems to laugh at in private, like at work or waiting in line at the bank.

It's good that you feel bad because it shows that you have some conscience. It was however in very poor taste to do this. If the excuse was that you were drunk, maybe you should drink less. It makes you look like an obnoxious drunk not an out of control drunk. Imagine your most embarrassing moment and I am sure that's how she felt. Try being a little more responsible for your actions.

you realized your mistake, and you made amends you cannot do anything more. If you continue to feel bad about it you could send the girl some flowers and appoligize again, but let that be the end of it. there is a saying in AA, you can only clean your side of the street. I would rather have a friend who steps in it once in a while and makes up for it than one who does nothing at all.

It was rude. It's one thing to laugh to yourself but another to in someones face when something obviously embarrassing happens. If you were that drunk and out of character, and apolagized you can't really do much about it now, just try to control any future out bursts ... for your own safety at a party.

All your friends are OK with everyone getting drunk enough to fall down a set of stairs, but NOT ok with you laughing about it?

Uh huh... great set of priorities they have...

see some times we are not laughing at them but at the way they fell it is funny sometimes and the reason you didnt laugh till you seen her is yes you were drinking but because when you seen her you thought of the way she fell i wouldnt worry about it and if you talked to the girl it will be fine

You made a mistake but you realize you were wrong. Forget about it. You should think hard about drinking, too. It makes you do things that are out of character and that is not good.

It's done and over with you apologized to the girl and that's a good thing but you really shouldn't drink as much the next time.

Give yourself a break. You laughed. You apologized. It's OK. If you move on, everyone else will, too.
