It makes me dislike the person more. They're not worthy of liking such a great band. :P
They don't change my opinion. Love is stronger than hate in this case.

Yeah if I was still in high school, and had to like things because other people didn't, or because you know, a band is suddenly uncool, because your arch enemy likes them. Or hell even loving a really crappy band because everyone else likes them. People like this have no substance to them. I wish you kids would grow up and see how much of your life you are wasting on irrelevant things. Life is way too short. Make something of it now.

Um well i never stop liking a band cuz someone else does that i don't like much. i just hope that person actually likes the band cuz of the bands music & not just bcuz i like them. like i hate how my brother talks crap about "emo" music & stuff & then i walk into his room & he is listening to it! its like u stupid poser!!! but see its like not being true to the band is how i think of it. but if the person truly likes the band for their music. then well u can't stop them really. i know people that i don't like luv the same bands as me. its kinda annoying sometimes but i guess i just learn to live with it & i never let the fact they luv the band to ever make me stop liking the band cuz if i do then i look at it as i never liked the band that much in the first place. so same for u if you stop liking a band cuz someone u hate likes the band well then u were never really a true fan of the band. so just keep liking the band if u want. that hasnt happened to me yet. Since im the only 15 year old in the year 2006 to like 50s 60s rock and really like it not just some poser that likes the beatles chuck berry and the rolling stones. so i dont worry about it

Sometimes, but only if I intensely dislike the person in question. Most times, I try not to let it, but I know what you mean. I have several that are ruined because my ex husband loved them. It must be a human trait.
