I love the '70s--the bright, fun prints that make great modest clothing and the vibe of the era just rock.

You can not be "stuck in a time era" unless you are actually experiencing everything in that era. In other words if time travel was a possibility. You could be going through a phase like a flapper phase, hippie, metal, etc..but really you would only be identifying some part of your mental image of yourself and who you would like to project as being "yourself" out onto the world. You could have all the music, the fashion, all the entertainment available from that particular era but it would only be from your viewpoint of now. What has survived as propaganda from that era or what it is remembered as being.... not what or how it really was. You can not show that you are this "way" from the medieval or Gothic times unless you were born then. Furthermore since their was such a wide range of socioeconomic factors which would reflect the "way" that you were back then you are really only identifying with an idea. A fantasy or a dream of other peoples about that time and how it was.

I like many eras so that's hard. I really love the 60's. You can tell most of the time by the flowery embedded shirts; also through belts, lovebeads and jewerly I am consistently borrowing from my mother.

I also love the whole 80's/90's grunge - and grunge in general. I don't do it a whole lot because I'm self concious but I do like the t-shirt, jeans, no-bra look of certain starlettes in movies like Reality Bites and even the style of Julia S. in 10 Things I Hate About You. But much more so Reality Bites.

I don't think I am "stuck." I like new music and fashions. The stuff I grew up with looks pretty bad now or is being recycled again.
