When you asked people where is Mike?
They answer "which Mike?"

"have you seen my book?"
the answer "Was it green?"

"How many calries in the milk shake?"
And answer is "how big?" or "what kind?"

"Should I buy this dress?"
Answer: "How much?" or "Why?"
So each questions get the answe with the other questions.
So, what is the term for that particular pattern of answering the question with the another question.
