It's ok just as always make sure whatever you use is clean and germ free. Yes it messy though. Did you know that if your cramping masturbation can actually keep that from happening? It can relieve the pain.

If you use a tampon there is no mess. Yes you can masturbate when you have your period but your best bet it to use a tampon then.
