Preferbably at Taipei cox its at the central district. and more convinent. Thanks.

In taipei the Central Train Station hostel was pretty good. Super cheap and clean enough. bring your own sheets and be chatty!

Try this site has a list of hostels. Taipei Train Station Hostel is
quite suitable for budget travelers, can get more local information, plus clean, safe and affordable. 2 Bed Mixed Dorm
for US$9.59/per night. Not a bad deal.
For US$10/per day and staying for 4 mos. if only in Taipei. Maybe
it's a good idea to look for short term rental somewhere near
a university like Shida after you're acquainted with the city. You might be able to get an shared apartment somewhere MRT can reach for half of what you would spend at the hostel per month.
Be sure to pick up a lot of tourist information before you leave
airport. It's free and up to date.

Hey.. Try out this www.hostelworld.com & choose Taiwan,Taipei...
Myself personally prefer "Taipei Train Station Hostel" or "Happy Family" cos both are more convenient, cheap & safer! If you can see "Fortuna Hostel", Please do not choose that! Very inconvenient & dark alley.. Though its written near "Xi Men Ding" but actually its still a few MRT stations away!
Tips for you: Do not take Cab/Taxi! After the arrival lobby, turn left for the coach bus not right for the cab!

These are the current best budget hotels. Many of my Singaporean friends stay here : Call them directly for your bookings. 2mins ~ 5 mins from MRT , All close to Food , Shopping in Ximenting.
