Yes, humans can catch things from their pets and visa versa.
White Stuff on her butt is not a great description. Cats generally get round worms or tape worms
This is gonna sound gross but worms look like either
spaghetti or rice.
If you suspect your cat has worms please see your vet as soon as possible and if you have other cats in the household they would also be susceptable to getting them.

YES! worm ur cat regularly against all worms and do urself and anyone else in your household at the same time.
its nothing to freak out about
we all have worms especially if you have kids, its just a matter of keeping them under control
all it takes is for u to touch something : door handle/ atm button, etc where someone has previously touched after touching their anus and u have worm eggs under ur nails which will be transfered to your mouth
one way for u to try to check urself if you really want to is at night because at night teh worms travel down to the outer anus to lay their eggs, get a magnified mirror and a good torch

People can get worms but not from anything you're going to be doing with your cats' poo. It needs to be ingested in someway. The worms wont just crawl through your skin and infect you, you would have to infect yourself by letting them inside you~ hope you get the drift!

Absolutely, I speak from experience. However. it's unlikely. In the meantime, I'd take the cat to the vet to have the worms taken care of, the vet can probably tell you of any symptoms to watch out for in yourself and your family. If not then your doctor certainly can.

tape worms are caused by fleas, pets get tape worm from swallowing fleas wich in turn carry the parasite, yes humans can get tape worm from a pet,the most common is called the Dipylidum Caninum or cucumber tapeworm, humans can get these the same way animals do by ingesting a flea infected with the parasite, the eggs of this parasite are not infective to pets and humans, just the flea that carries it

I asked my vet previously about this. The vet advised that pets get it because they eat items from the ground, born with them, etc. He said that most humans will not obtain it, unless eatting items from the ground, or something to that effect.
I would imagine stepping in animal feces with an open wound on the foot could be an exception to this however.

Yes. You know the commercials where a kid will share his/her ice cream cone with their dog? That's one way. Personally, although I adore my dog, we do not share food, nor silverware, nor plates (Yes, I've seen it happen before).
