Hi all, I am a senior in high school and next year I will be attending Ohio State University. I am uncertain of what major would fit me the best. Since I do not fully know about each one, I figured I could possibly get some help on here on which might suit me better. I will at least go to college for 4 years, possibly 6. What I want more than anything is a job paying over 100k a year in Manhattan where I work in a building-office type setting wearing a suit everyday. My main interests are computers and business. I find myself to be very good and fast with numbers, but when it comes to really in-depth math and science, I am not so good. I have been recently working on my communication skills and plan to improve them through college. Two majors I have been looking into are finance and computer science. Like I said before, I do not know everything about either so I would like to hear what you think would be the best for me.

The only way you are going to be successful in ANY job is to be happy in it. So, what you need to do is figure out what you are HAPPY with doing.

Since you want to be a suit type and make over 100K a year, maybe you should be looking into Business Managment courses and things similar to that. That should put you into the type of position you probably want.

Also, what you want to look into is Summer Internship jobs at some of the popular companies, such as IBM, in Manhattan. This will give you invaluable experience about what the real world work life is all about, while you are still in college, and may help you figure out exactly what and where you truly want to be.

From what you have posted I think that business would be the best major and maybe computers for a sub-major. I know how hard this decision is, I am currently a senior in high school as well and am still trying to figure out my major too.

I thought to myself, "Finance or Computer Science", and then I scrolled down and saw that those are your choices. But given that you have trouble with in-depth math, I'd maybe suggest "Business".

Don't forget, you can always change your major after trying stuff out for a bit! I sure did!

Good luck!

Your significant is a lot more desirable major except you're attending an Ivy league college. yet, as between the others referred to, a random lib arts degree would not get you the perfect pastime regardless of if its from Harvard (though you would probable have a miles more desirable chance at touchdown a writing/editor pastime with a harvard english degree than one from a random state college.)
