SeaAir and Asian Spirit is the cheapest and fastest...because it gets you there from manila domestic airport to kalibo only 45mins. and then 15mins to the island...1hour-1/12 hour tops...ur in the island...
comment on no filipino originality...the island is influenced by spanish name because the owner of the island..is spanish-filipino of heritage...the hospital, some of the resorts and the museum is in its memoirs...it wasnt suppose to be a public place, it was a rich family's vacation spot..which they opened to friends and by word of mouth later on was opened to the public... thats why the sewage and the lights are not like the ones in the metro. The green stuff is i believe algae...it really comes to the island before summer...the locals bury them underneath the sand because they believe it helped their sand be white (than most beaches in the philippines) and cool to the feet...
But if u insist on other places, Cebu, Davao, Buhol, Seguijor, Sorsogon,Samar have nice beaches too...nice and untouched nature...Heck its a country with 7,102 islands...go ahead explore each one...

DUH is the right word to use for Boracay.
How can a place which is only one metre above the sea where the majority of 'resorts' are, which receives 100,000 people a month during peak periods, which has no real sewage treatment facility (hence, green slime at the waters' edge), which is full of vendors selling all sorts of crap, full of stupid bangkas buzzing noisily up and down all day long, has no landing jetty anywhere coz they won't spend the money, which has pushed the original inhabitants of the island to a small space under some trees on the windsurf beach, which is noisy as hell, which reminds world travellers of any other tourism destroyed area in the world(Pattaya/Kuta/Algarve/Copacabana/Costa del Sol etc etc), which has no Filipino originality, which has nothing whatsoever to interest anyone with a brain - a paradise!!???
Go somewhere new, you jaded boring people, this country has so much beauty, and all you want is a load of crap,such as can be found anywhere which has been destroyed by tourism, surrounded by others who want a load of crap and can't open their eyes to the incredible variety of wonders that this country has on offer....
Get a LIFE.

I dont think there is a really cheap way to go to Boracay, but the cost is all worth it because Borakay is a PARADISE.

its peaceful there and you can feel the tranquility there.
its a paradise you want to be in forever i swear its nice there!
white sand.......shells............coconut trees....................... nice restos and bar................ theres alot of souvenir shops there.............................
