and i don't want to buy then from itunes and so i asked my cus and she told me about limewire and i went on it but i don't know wat to do after that and so i'm asking wat should i do after i go on limewire i do i get the songs from limewire to my iPod i woulds be so thankful to anybody who can help thanks in advance for ur help.

The iPod comes with Apple iTunes software (on a CD in the box) that has to be used to transfer songs to your iPod.
Once this software is installed, you can connect the iPod to your PC using a USB cable (again should be with the original box), and transfer songs from a CD, from the iTunes store, or from any non-protected music files on your PC - as long as that file is in one of the commonly accepted music file formats, like a JPEG.
If you cannot find the iTunes CD you can download it from the Apple website at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and there are also help files, like this one: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tutorials/.

All right this is what my daughter does.
First you download both iTunes and Limewire. Then download all the songs you want on lime wire, and then try to listen to them on limewire itself, and it should bring it up on iTunes. Then Highly rate all the songs and download that playlist to your iPod. Thats the only way she could figure out how to get them on there.

go to morphies.com and download the program..limewire has to many bugs .i have used morphues for 2 years now without a problem.

go to your itunes, click file, then add file to library. Find your limewire folder and click open.

ok...go to search and click on audio. type in either the name of the artist, the song title, or the album. (dont worry about the other stuff because it will mess you up.) BUT BE REALLY CAREFUL!!! some of the songs can me messed up and might not b the real thing.

I downloaded songs from my CD's onto my Cd. Then I put it on my Ipod.
