Take acidopholus capsules or probiotics. You can also apply yogurt with active cultures to the affected area (I never have, but I've heard that it works). Douching with an iodine-medicated douche will clear up a yeast infection within a few days.

If you have frequent yeast infections, it could indicate diabetes or pregnancy.

Applying yogurt to the area works, but make sure it's sugar free, fruit free unflavored. Otherwise the yeast will thrive off the additional sugars. Also, douching/applying 1 cup water + 1 T hydrogen peroxide will produce a byproduct that kills the yeast. For another helpful tip, wrap a naked clove of garlic in a cheesecloth and insert it. Garlic has natural antifungal properties. Hope these help!
