I started having period when i was 12. I'm 15 now, and i haven had my period for half a year.

Am i sick? My science teacher says that girls with such irregular periods might not give birth when they grow up. Im worried..
I went to the doctor sometimes earlier, & they only give me some pills for menses to come. & he say that nothing is wrong with me. That was 2months ago. But now, my period still arent here..
What should i do?

Ask your gynecologist you can get on a pill to regulate that.

i have irregular periods too. mostley 1 every 3 months and my doc said one of my overies is smaller then the other..but i tried getting on the pill to help regulate my period and i bled for 2 months straight well mostly spotted but it did not help. i had to get off them because of it and my doc says as long as i have one at least every 6 months then it shoud be ok. when i do go i have periods for 2 weeks straight and they are bad... i have had a hard time getting pregnant but i also have other health probs as well so just talk to your doc and ask all the right questions and they will help.

Go to a gyno. instead of just a family doc. and have them do an exam. They might wanna put you on a birth control- most times that will help girls get a regular period.

my friend has the same problem .she is now 19 yrs old. speak to your doctor if you are concerned. i think it is not a bad thing and i am not sure if it means that you will not be able to get pregnant later on in life. i would not worry about that, but ask your doctor so that you will feel better and less worried about this. my friend does not get her period due to stress.
