Had a baby a year ago and my boobs have morphed into gazongas! Please tell me your experiences and how small you went?

Make sure to find a good surgeon, see lots of before and after pics from their portfolio. How small you go will be discussed between you and the surgeon. The scar will be around the areola then straight to under your breast, and going underneath, kind of like the shape of an anchor. The pain lasts for about a week, but it is easily controlled with meds. There will be bruising and the incisions will be very red and puckered. They will leave tubes in your incisions for the first day to drain any fluid that may be present. If takes about a year for the reduction to mature and the scars to settle, so don't expect final results until then. Hope this helps.

38J to 38C, five pounds off my chest back in Feb '06. Wish I got it done sooner.

I have too much information to share with you! So the quick and easy bit:

surgery was 3 hours or so long, i stayed overnight in the hospital, went home next day. took two weeks off work (take off more if you are very active at work), about a month before you are back on track with regards to daily activities. no lifting heavy objects (including kids!) for at least a month.

http://www.breasthealthonline.com is a site that helped me greatly, check it out :)

Edit: oh and I plan on having children and breastfeeding. It can be done, even after a BR, it all depends on if the PS removes your nipple completely or not. if he does, 50/50 chance. if he doesn't, 90+% chance. http://www.bfar.org for breastfeeding after reduction.

Only have the procedure done if you are not planning to have any more children. If not I would suggest waiting a little while and then making the investment since insurance will not pay for it for cosmetic reasons.

My cousin went from a DD to a B and says the pain she experience after the surgery was worth it.
