It could be your kidney. That is where the pain would be. I had a similar incident recently. It could also be collitis.

The pain you're describing sounds like you might have a kidney stone. If you've had bladder infections frequently, there definitely might be a problem with your kidney, either a stone or something else. Go to the doctor pronto and get it checked. I waited way too long to go to the doc for my pain and the stone caused such a blockage I had to be hospitalized.

You might have kidney stones. When I had them the pain came and went, but it was EXTREMELY painful, and I would have to go to the bathroom all the time. Kidney infection will cause back pain too. I wouldn't put it off too long because kidney infections are dangerous.

Sounds as though it could be renal colic, normally caused by a kidney stone. You'll soon know if it is a kidney stone jamming in your ureter (the pipe from kidney to bladder). The pain is absolutely beyond description.

It could also be appendicitis, - do you feel sick, have high temperature?
I had mine operated recently and my pain was very unlike appendiccitis, it was more to the back and very low, doctors thought it was pulled muscle but it later turned out my appendix had moved to the back and inflamed.
It sounds to me you should definately see your GP, better be safe than sorry! I learned the hard way!
I really hope it's nothing serious and you feel better soon! :-)
