It will fade... but not come off completely.

Wash infrequently, and in cold water.

It will fade with repeated washing.

If you want to "erase" it, and start over with a blank slate, try spraying it with hair spray, then wash while still wet. On some markers, I've had better success with hand cleaners from the auto parts stores. Rub them into the marker, then wash. Has worked well on my work shirts, when I've stuck a marker back in my pocket and forgotten to put the cap back on.

For something that will last better, go to a hobby store. They will have permanent markers especially for cloth.

No it won't wash off in a normal cycle (that's why it's called permanent marker), but if you treat it with a special stain remover (I recommend "BIZ") it might fade. Good luck.
Oh, you want the marker to stay on! Okay, just don't wash it too much because it will fade with repeated washing.
