Experience...like no other! Swimming/snorkeling in clear ocean water, picking fruits from trees to eat, fishing, walking in beaches, watching sunsets, beautiful weather, new ppl, another language, fresh air, cheap food, warm hospitality, new love, new friends, etc..

I had a friend visit Australia from Tonga. He couldn't believe we could drive for over 10 hours in one directiln and not hit the other end of the island. He said you could drive around the main island of Tonga in an hour ... 40 minutes if the roads were better!

Australia does not share a common boarder with another nation. It is not like looking across a river to Mexico from Texas.

85% of Australians live within a day trip of the beach. Sydney spread itself along 30 miles of beaches. the coastline is an important part of our life

Does Tybee Island count???

In Savannah--- it was wonderful, the water is not pretty and blue like in Fla, but the sandy beach, the wind on my face, and the sounds of the seabirds. all lovely.
