My guinea pig soak his cage with his water bottle, he doesn't drink the water he just lets it run down his chin, he goes the whole bottle in 15 minutes, we don't deprive him of water but it makes his cage really stink. He is about 6 years old and pretty healthy for a guniea pig his age. What should we do?

Unfortunately, it sounds like your guinea pig is lonely. They are social creatures who are designed to live in groups. Whenever we get single pigs in at the rescue, they very commonly "misbehave" like this to entertain themselves.

They drain the water bottle, chew on the bars, scream at loud as they can for no apparent reason, dump the bowls over repeatedly, or any of a number of bad behaviors.

It's understandable, if I was trapped in a room by myself for 6 years, I'd start acting up as well. He's not too old to introduce to a new friend, provided there's adequate cage room to prevent fighting (http://www.guineapigcages.com).

maybe its the water bottle, sounds weird to me though that he would let the water run all over, does he have a problem with his teeth maybe? The water bottle i use has a spring in it that keeps the ball at the bottom and doesnt let it leak. Maybe this would help if the water is coming out too fast for him.
The hard pellet type of bedding made my guinea pigs feet sore. There is a fluffy kind out that is very absorbent and comfy for them. I dont remember the name but it comes in white and pink, blue, green, and purple. I found it at the petstores, not grocery stores or places like walmart.

It seems like your bottle is the problem. Start with a new bottle, something that is at least 16ozs and has double ball bearings. If the problem persists, a bedding made of heavy pellets of paper or aspen are the best for g-pigs. They are more absorbent for liquids, trap oder better, and do not get kicked out of the cage onto the floor so easily. I do not agree with putting it in a vent or air flow.

Maybe its the water bottle leaking or the guineapig cant manage the bottle.

it sounds like he is hot --
try moving the cage to a vent with the air conditioner blowing, or out of a window or hot area.
