..if so, how exactly does that work?

Oh, so by saying that it is hypocritical to be for both, you are implying that abortion IS killing/murder? But I thought some people didn't even think there was a 'baby' in there..

I am against abortion and for the death penalty. There is no way that this can be hypocritical since, an unborn child is completely innocent and a murder is not.

When you think about abortion, also think about the second birth. If a person doesn't have an abortion, then the person's second child will not be the same one that the person would have had if they had the abortion (same goes for any others).

An abortion doesn't completely eliminate life, it just changes who gets to be alive if the person does have other children.

The death penalty is different. If someone is punished (by death) for a supposed crime, it they are found innocent later, you can't go back and return the life. That person's life is taken away permanently and for a reason that may or may not be true (their guilt of the crime).

I am against both because that makes most sense to me. But i would say that those who are against abortion but for the death penalty would say that the baby is innocent while a criminal made the choice to violate someone else's rights.

That goes both ways. How can you be against abortion ( against murder, but support the death penalty?).

nope. I love both ideas.

No reason for a government to decide what someone can do with their bodies.

death penalty should only be applied in the most grieve circumstances such that the penalty will be fitting for the crime. Someone like a serial murderer should get the death penalty.

Abortion is not for me,However I will not judge another person wrong for making that decision for them self and I think the death penalty punishes the guy for a very short time, and his family that did not do the crime suffers alot longer. But I'm not a fan of supporting his butt till he dies, hummmm sorry I'm not much help

Yes! Abortion kills an innocent person who did not get a trial while the death penalty kills a guilty person that got a trial and numerous appeals.

Both just rub my conscious as "wrong." Removed from the religious/public moral and/or judgement beliefs, how can we justify punishing a killer by killing them? How can an innocent life be wiped out without a chance to thrive? I don't know. I'm not God and I certainly have made my mistakes or poor judgements. We, as humans, will wrestle with these issues forever. If your heart is right, the repercussions of these decisions will live in our hearts.
