Good question Yes,You still do have to wash the towel because the water can turn into mold and it would stink very Strong.

Thank ya Jesus.....boy I wish my 14 yr. old son was in here to read this. That child takes a new towel EVERY damn time he showers and I've told him that 1000 times and I'm not kidding 1000 times. So to answer your question....YES THE TOWEL IS CLEAN.

It'll collect some germs that you've missed in the shower and bath. After about a week should switch to a new towel.
The towel shouldn't extremely dirty after washing, though.

You are sloughing off dead skin cells every time you dry your body with the towel, that combined with moisture and the dust that accumulates on the towel, yes I recommend you frequently wash it.

depends on where you live. im in colorado and its real dry so dont have to worry about bacterial load. in wetter parts of the country you may want to change every couple of days or so.
