You can either attend college and take aviation courses, the airforce or a private aviation school.

The competition is hard in the military (fewer are being trained) and they require longer commitments than previously. So the college way may be the easiest (shortest/easiest but not cheapest) way to go.

You can join the Airforce as an Officer. You still need training, but you will be an officer.

The best way to be a pilot is to start with the airforce, as most commercial pilots are former Air Force Pilots.
That is not saying there aren't other ways, it is just that joining the Air Force gives you a greater chance of becoming a pilot later.

provided which you're fortunate. God is conscious of there are way too many pilot bums so referred to as CFIs (Flight instructors wanna be Captains quickly) surprising out at your close by airports paying bleeding quantities of student loans each and each month. in basic terms whilst the prospect comes and with some success and ninety % skill, you could land a good job flying planes for a residing. in case you pick for to be undesirable for a whilst and choose for to hold around airports, don't be lazy and don't have a customary existence. there's no short cuts or common path in this aviation profession.
