ac electricity, ac motors, power transmission (tesla coils), radiowave transmission. telsa had many inventions, but hes most famous for ac electricity. Marconi is incorrectly credited with the first radio wave transmission. think of your modern ac power system that provides lights in your home. that is what made tesla famous. some today are calling tesla technology the tesla coil, this is voltage magnification via a standing wave. but if you ask most scientIst what the think tesla technology is they will say "ac electricity" he is the "father of it". one of the most brilliant, and ethical men of the last 500 years. a true genius. modern historians have tried to discredit his genius as he died penniless and homeless and was "broken" by the banking interests of this country. a smart and fascinating guy. Tesla was a Nobel Prize winner in Physics, so his genius was widely recognized by other physicist and engineers.

Tesla, along with George Westinghouse,were the main guys behind alternating current type power transmission and usage that we use today.
Tesla was also a bit of an eccentric kook that has inspired a cult of normal kooks who believe he was a great prophet with the key to magical technologies that can make power out of nothing, levitate objects and all kinds of stuff.
