I had a kickboxing class a couple months ago and injured my knee somehow. The pain was intense and lasted only a few days so I figured I just strained something. However, the same knee keeps acting up, especially on days when I do a lot of physical activity. Is this something I should see a doctor about, or is it just a minor injury that might bother me from time to time?

You should defenatly see a doctor. Over the summer my friend sprained her knee and the pain went away and now it acted up again and it turns out she tore her miniscus and had to get surgery so i would defenatly suggest going besides what's the worse that could happen you spend twenty dollars on a check up

I have somewhat the same problem! Although I have fluid in my knee which hurts alot after I do alot of sporting. I fell with my snowboard and it felt like a knife cutting through it.
I would go see a doctor just to be sure and he could otherwise help you improve the injury!
Good Luck!

depends - if you did injure it did you ice it and all that while it was hurting. Otherwise it might have healed a little wrong and that's what is causing the pain from time to time- sometimes if it's moved just right it'll keep acting up. Be sure and ice it if there's any swelling while it hurts, and try wearing a brace. If it cont.s see a doc.

Go see your doctor. He will probably want an x-ray of the knee just be on the safe side. I hurt my knew last October and I didn't take good care of it, now it hurts almost all the time. Don't end up like me, get it looked at.
Good Luck,
Quin

Orthopedics is correct. That is the broad spectrum of physicians who deal with bones and joints. It requires a medical residency which trains the physician in all aspects of all of the bones and joints. If you are having a serious problem with your knee, or if you end up requiring surgery, you will want a orthopedic physician who is "fellowship trained" in the knee, which is a one year super-specialized training time for a physician.

Even if it's nothing, you should see your doctor to clear up the matter. It's better to wear a smile than to wear a frown. :)

see a doctor.
it's the only way to see hwat's wrong.
it could cause a lot of struggles in the future if you don't get it checked out now.
