yup. i open an image and set it as background but nothing happens. i go to display properties and try to change the background but it wont let me choose.

Ok what steps have you tried to correct this. To change your wallpaper just right click on your desktop and click on properties from there you can choose just about any image on your computer.

The solution is:

There is an adware program installed on your computer which greys out the wallpapers option so you cannot change it instead there should be some other strange walpaper on the desktop. Anyway go to www.webroot.com
download

the spyware sweeper
for serial email me as i cant post it here.
run it, it will find a big that prevents change of wallpaper.

it will qurantine and delete it.

restart and uninstall the program.
u are back to normal again.
