I read that she really didn't like to perform, and would rather just write music.

she left the band, I honesty have never heard a for real answer as to why...

I think she was kinda bitter about the media attention Jennifer Nettles gets...deservedly so on JN's part but that is just pure speculation on my part as far as truth goes...
