yes most defiantly it does effect my personality, All my life I have had a weight problem, and because of it my parents siblings and family made sure that I was aware that I knew I was not acceptable, I never was in my own mind, I can not tell you of the years of self hatred I wasted, I know that it is easy to loose weight that is why there are so many perfect people around. On the day I stopped hating myself was the day of freedom for me. Now I am me and I live life, love it, and I am happy, I didn't change my appearance, I changed my beliefs. And It doesn't matter what I wear I am happy with me and in the long run isn't that who I have to live with and ultimately please.

Defiantly! How you feel in the outfit you pick out can change your mood completely. If your wearing a sexy outfit you want to stand out and be noticed and you are going to have an attitude to match. Especially if your very confident in what you wear. Wearing slacks and a sweater can put off a lazy attitude and we mostly dress that way when we plan on slacking off that day.

Definately yes. If I go out to get something fast from the store and I just throw something on I tend to just rush through without any eye contact with anyone if possible. I try to avoid folks when I am not looking my best. I would think this would be pretty common.

i believe what you where is a major effect on your emotion. for instance if i go to school and lets say i wake up late... i sleep thew my alarm and so i have to rush around and throw on a hoodie and a sweat shirt ( lol my normal school where) if some one says you look like crap well that dose not start your day off so well. or if i get cleaned up and for some reason actually hear my alarm in the morning i get allot of compliments on how i look so nice and that i should clean up more. it makes me feel better about myself i get more confidence i can talk to new people.

I think it does. I think you act different when you look and feel different. Me I'm kind of mellow all the time because I dress, look and act the same way all the time. If I dressed better, I wouldn't know how to act different. I mean I dress like a hillbilly, if you put me in nice clothes, I'd still act that way. Because it's my personality.

Yes to the extent that feedback from other people, be it nice or mean, can effect my mood. If I dress approprately for the location (grocery store, work, getto, beach...), I get positive feedback from people and can easily keep my spirits up. If I dress wrong, I get negitive feedback from people and some will try to hurt my feelings, which makes it harder to keep my spirits up.

Yes! For a lot of people, when you feel good about how you look, you feel better in general, too!
For a lot of people, for example, when they lose weight, they also feel a lot happier.
Or have you ever noticed that when someone's having a "bad hair day," they seem to be in a bad mood, too?

Yes. Unfortunately it does.
I HATE dressing up, but when I do, it does change my outlook and confidence.
It also changes people's perceptions of you.
Did you see the most recent 20/20 thing on ABC? Very interesting.

I hate to sound shallow or insecure, but it does affect it. If I like my outift or feel my hair looks good, I have more confidence. Some days if I feel like I look bad, I hide at my desk all day and don't talk much.
Dumb, I know.....

if i went to the store butt naked i would be embaresed. if i went to the store dressed as a gangster i would feel like a target and i would wounder who dressed me as a freak in my sleep. if i went in my normal clothes (leather jacket, long sleev shirt, carheart jeans and cowboy hat) i would feel normal.)
