Since banks will be closed because of the Federal Holiday, can our scheduled closing date still take place or will we have to reschedule? Thanks for any info regarding this matter. Happy New Year!! ;-)

Banks will not be closed unless they are in the DC area, and only in the neighborhoods where the funeral and procession will be. Federal government employees do have the day off but private sector is not closed.

that is not a federal trip, that could be a nationwide day of mourning. maximum federal places of work, for occasion submit places of work, would be closed. colleges are actually not federal so it may be as much as the community college board to settle on in the event that they are going to close or not.

Depends on your mortgage company. Give your lender or Realtor a call and ask them.
Edited to add: your county recorder's office may be closed. Definitly call your Realtor.
