Nope. For the US Congress according to the Constitution, you have to be 25 years old and a resident of the USA for 7 years. That's it. There are a lot of lawyers there...but there are also doctors, business men, clergy, etc.

absolutely not. I think people in the field of law just generally gravitate towards politics since many people get a degree in political science before law school. Many congressmen and women have degrees in medicine, business and sciences.

No, but it might be helpful for you to have a law background, seeing as your job is to create and interpret law. The Constitution has age and residency requirements for Congressional candidates, and you should read the Constitution in its entirety just for personal knowledge.
