1. The distance around the Earth's orbit is 584 million miles (940 million kilometers) Earth has a diameter of about 8,000 miles (13,000 kilometers) Earth travels around the sun in a path we call orbit. Earth is about 93 million miles (150 kilometers) from the sun. To complete just one orbit around the sun takes a year.

2. 80 kilometers separates the mesosphere from the thermosphere. The outermost layer of Earths atmosphere. At the exosphere beginning at 500-1,000 kilometers above Earths surface then the atmosphere blends into space.

3. The outer core of Earth is about 1,300 miles thick. The inner core is about 800 miles to the center of the earth. 2,100 miles.

4. 747 flying at speeds of 567 mph (913 kilometers) and up 8,355 miles (13,446 kilometers)

Earth has 3 motions:
1. Spins like a top around an imaginary line called the axis that runs from the north to the south pole. Earth takes 24 hours to spin completely around on it's axis so the sun is in the same place in the sky, (called solor day) It only takes 23 hours 56 minutes 4.09 seconds for Earth to spin once so the stars appear to be in the same place in the sky
2. It travels around the sun.
3. It moves through the Milky Way along with the sun and the rest of the solor system.
