one of my friends got hit in his back with a bamboo stick in september of 2006 and i was there and i have had no news of the trial yet what should i do other than relax?

call the courthouse, they have the court docket and can tell you when it is.

You can go to the circuit clerk's office and look at the file and see what is going on with it. Those files are public. They just need to see your I.D. and all you really need to know is your friends whole name and the kind of case it is.
