who thinks gears of war is over-rated?

i thought that gears of wars is way over-rated, i was playing it and i thought it had the same stuff over and over again and it went really slow. it gets old after playing the campaign and online isn't that fun either, i don't think it is a system seller at all, halo 3 will be much better. Gears of war still has room to improve with sequals

I agree. I'm starting to wonder what all the hype is about. The critics are frantic about it, and they all love it.. But it really didn't do it for me. I'm about halfway through the game now. It seems planned out. A regular shooter.. It seems to repeat itself over and over again.. Like a shooting gallery.

Just as a note, I think a lot of people are going to be mad at you for posting this. The game got a lot of good reveiws.

I don't think it's over rated, but I didn't think everyone was going to like it either. It's a very good 3rd person shooter with on line co-op available to play campaign. I have a 50 inch Sony SXRD TV and I have to say the graphics are the best of any 360 game I've played and I've played most of them. But as with any game, to each his own. (or her own!) :-)

It's not a bad game, but I agree it was way over hyped for what it is. The so called incredible graphics were good but were a still little rough and the gameplay does get very repetitive. I hope GOW 2 is better than this one.

How dare you say this? Are you implying that Guitar Hero 2, Okami, and Final Fantasy XII blow Gears of War away in terms of gameplay? Shhh...GOW lovers will kill you! ;)
