funny you should ask this. i'm reading a book called "Instant Self-Hypnosis: How to Hypnotize Yourself With Your Eyes Open" by Forbes Robbins Blair (yes i know books go in italics, but that's not an option in this setting), it's quite mezemerizing. lol. it has prewritten scripts and you can read them to yourself, or someone willing, and that's key, to induce a hypnotic state. the book is also great b/c it explains the origins of hypnosis and gives a synapsis of how it works and what is actually going on in the brain. there are several different hypnotic scripts... one for ceasing smoking, stressing less, being more creative, quitting bad habits, etc... it's a really great book. this is where you can go to find the answers... it's 10.17 new on amazon. or check your library. i am borrowing the book for free.

and they need to allow it to happen/give permission-- no Mesmerizing routines here.
Why do you want to hypnotize someone/why do they want to be hypnotized? If it is for anxiety-relief, I would just quickly try something called Emotional Freedom Technique instead-- much quicker, and more easily learned. Some of the practictioners, like Dr. Carol Look, started out as hypnotherapists and then found that EFT was more effective than conventional hypnosis. you can download the free Get Started Package at http://tinyurl.com/yh5zhu, or if you want to dive in right away by purchasing the inexpensive instructional DVDs click here>> http://tinyurl.com/ycwle8

You have an all-night party thing, like bowling or whatever, and the next day or following morning host a hypnotism event where you have volunteers come up and sit down on a stage. Give them some room. The rest you need to look up online. The thing is, you gotta get them tired and wanting to rest their minds first. The rest is much easier.

If you're familiar with hypnosis, then you've no doubt heard of Master Hypnotist Steve G. Jones. His book, "Ultimate Conversational Hypnosis" has been voted as the best hypnosis course ever made. The book is also available in electronic format at: http://www.hypnosistocontrol.net

If you want to get an edge in everyday communication and lead other people towards your goals this is a must read.

There's not an easy way. You have to read about it, study it, and learn to hypnotize yourself first.

I think the fast, cheapest way to learn would be to go to a hypnotherapist for just one visit. Request a CD recording.

And yes, it is very possible for a trained hypnotist to control someone's behavior.

you have to open up the unconcious section of their brain. you can do this by dulling them to sleep or near sleep, then make your suggestions then and there. you can't really do anything if they aren't into it or aware of it becuase they will think about it, no success. swinging a pendelum will only work for those who believe in it. you can have a soothing voice and have someone get hypnotized, check out some of Bob Ross' Life Of Art videos

First of all, you will not be able to hypnotize anyone unless they are willing to undergo the process in trust of your control. A person who is determined not to be controlled will be practically impossible for you to hypnotize under normal legal procedures- like without using hypnotic drugs. Assuming you find a candidate who is willing to undergo your procedure, you could use shiny objects or bright lights (like flashing strobe lights in particular) and have them focus on this while you say things like: "Imagine that you're in a place, a place of your favourite dreams, a place where you are floating in water under the sun in the golden place of your dreams. Imagine yourself floating, deeply, heavily, freely, from all pain and stress surrounding. You're eyes are getting heavy. Feel free and let yourself succumb to total piece and freedom in your utopia of paradise. Let yourself relax, feel the pleasure of warm wind blowing on your face as you relax on your favourite beach, your favourite place of rest. Let all your tensions and stress go and just relax. Imagine the light in front of you as the sun shining down on you while you relax and enjoy the seagulls flying around you, the fish jumping in the sea, the pleasant sound of people laughing and running in the background. Feel yourself floating into a cloud, hovering over your favourite places, flying freely, as your eyes are getting heavier while you drift into a place of total rest, relaxation, and ultimate enjoyment. Dream of flying through the shy, watching down on all the beautiful scenery as you float above the clouds and propel yourself to any destination of your desire... Etc...

i think the easiest way to hypnotize someone is having him or her in a relaxed state/ semiconscious state wherein you could alter his or her way of thinking... but you could also try to research more about the topic here:
