Great question!! I agree with you. We all are a bit weird in our own way. Unique is a 'nicer' way of putting it:) I think what leads people to feel badly about themselves is the false idea that they are somehow weird from everyone around them and don't 'fit in' But the truth is we are all different and no matter how hard you try, we cannot be like everyone else, and no one can be like us. But what makes us great is that 'weird' or unique quality that is so unlike what everyone else has. When I think of the people I admire most, they are the most genuine and unashamed of being their unique selves. I say, Be proud of that what makes you different!

For one, I think most people spend too much time comparing each other that it gets them all worked up. Two, yes I do think it's hopeless because the word normal does not exist or only exists in comparison to what society deems the definition"normal" to be. People are so diverse, even the cool and collective have some quirks and tales to tell. Don't forget, not everyone reveals indications outwardly.

...being normal is not a hopeless goal, it is achievable but as humans we choose not to be normal in very many domains. Humans try to set themselves apart form the pack by not being normal. And sometimes they don't have to not be normal; they are just born 'not normal'

Normal is simply a setting on a washing machine! Nothing more my friend! Yes, we are all weird in one way or another, anyone who says they are not is a bald faced liar!

I'm always saying "What is Normal? There is No Such Thing as Normal. We are all weird and strange in our own ways because no one is the same.."

To me, a person's individual weirdness is part of their appeal. What IS normal, anyway?

I wouldn't even waste time trying to be normal. I used to think aqbout that all the time when I was in my teens and early 20's.
No one is "normal".

Who wants to be completely 'normal'? I'd be bored out of my mind! But then I'd go a little crazy and feel better again.
