Question. If that look was to come back, Would you put one of those contraptions on?

HELL no! I don't even wear a bra! But the point of the "cone shaped " thing was not fasion, it was technology. They didn't have the same types of fabrics then (stretchy, pliable etc) and so they built something that worked with what they had (Cotton...you get the picture?) with seams that approximated the shape of a breast. Now, thank gawd, things are different...would you wear a cone shaped cup? thought not.

hahaha.

no. Totally dumb. Half my shirts wouldn't work anymore.

The real difference isn't that they're so much more cone shaped than now, but that the cup of the bra is made to cover more skin, since shirts weren't as low-cut. The bras would cover the whole breast instead of leaving the top mostly bare. Also, the straps and the band around the ribcage under the bust are wider, offering more support, so more lift.

But whatever. Bras now are just exponentially sexier.

The old timey corsets were not natural looking. I would not wear a corset or a bra that came to a point...my breasts aren't weapons used for deflating things.

They were silly looking then (and every time they've been copied) and wouldn't work with a lot of today's fashions. I prefer a bra that more closely mimics the actual shape/apperance of a breast but does the job of supporting it appropriately....helping them look a little more sexy sometimes is kewl too (pointy isn't sexy imo).

The look did come back with Madonna during one of her exhibitionist periods. Women are now free to wear whatever feels comfortable. I wouldn't mind bringing attention to my breasts as long as the bra is comfortable.

They weren't bra's they were corsets. Even in the 60's they had foam bra's that cupped like that, and I hated them, they looked unreal.

Breasts tend to get in the way of doing things as it is, wearing one of those ridiculous things wouldn't help at all. No thanks.
