Yankee candles always smell so good and fill up my house with their scent but, I have to hide the jars when company comes because the jars look hideous with all that black soot all over them. I'd like to find a candle that smells great but, burn's clean. Does a candle like that exist?

Yes! I just got some for Christmas! They are pure soy and are highly scented. The past few days I've been burning them for hours on end and there's no trace of soot on the jars. That's another thing, I've noticed they burn waaaay longer than most of the store bought candles like Yankee. As much as I've been burning them they should be almost at the end, but the wax has barely gone down at all! They smell fabulous and fill up every room I burn them in. I was just visiting the site where they came from, www.waxywabbit.com and it says they are all hand poured. There's a lot of information there too about soy vs. paraffin, which Yankee is made from. You should check it out!

I make candles from my home. They are 100% soy, which is a natural product, so they do not produce the black smoke. My candle are double scented and come in 4 and 8 oz. They is no waste to these candles. They burn completely and you can wash and reuse the jar. I have many scents. If you would like a list just email me at ltackett8@yahoo.com and I will be glad to send you a list and there prices. I have sold many of these candles and I have repeat customers.

Home Interiors & Gifts carries soy candles as well as the regular wax candles. Both are great, resonable in price and fragrances is outstanding. To prevent from having the black soot, trim the wick to `1/4 in. and never blow out the candle with your breath. Turn out the candle with the candle cover or cover with a small plate until the candle extinguish by itself.

yes bridgewater are far better and they are solid soy unlike yankee who now use pressed wax beads to cut costs. If you look at a yankee closely you will see what I mean. I have switched over to Bridgewater. One other better than that is Bean Pod lots more scents to choose from and one votive smells up the entire house it is also a soy candle very clean burning.
