Would is be very expensive to rent a studio apt. or 1 bedroom apartment near the beach in Sydney Austailia?

I will be moving from Chicago to Sydney for 2 years with my company - what can I expect to pay in Australian dollars monthly for rent in a studio apt or 1 bedroom near the beach.

Also do they do credit checks for renters in australia? Would they run a credit check on someone for the US renting an apartment?

hey, extremely relies upon on which aspect of the city you'd be residing on. Bondi etc might want to be round (AUS)$350 + and in case you bypass to the Northern beaches it would want to be round $three hundred +.
