I never had a PDA in my life. I am an engineer, so I would like to use it for my profession. My budget is no more that $250.
I would like a PDA with expandability (so I am not stuck). There are many options, and I am not exactly clear which one to choose. Can you recommend to me?

I have a Palm TX...it goes about 300. It has blue tooth and Wifi built in. It is expandable with SD cards.

I have been using a Palm for about 8 years now and would not be without it.
I had an E2 before -- it goes for 199. No Wifi or Bluetooth

I would go with the TX, you are an engineer, you will find many uses for it, both in your professional and personal life. You would probably be happy with the e2 for a while but would quickly outgrow it.
Go read with info on the website. Also, got to places like palmgear.com and go google searches for Palm software and Engineering. You be amazed,
There is a lot of free stuff out there too.
ereader.com has a good selection of eBooks (not free) and if you like to listen to books, you can get a subscription to audible.com and save $100 on your palm.

I love mine, but it is a Sony and they don't make them anymore. It has the expandable memory, which is not that helpful except for the mp3 player in it that is not very user friendly so I bought another mp3 player. The Palm software is really easy to use so I'd recommend staying with that, but you may want to look at the cell phones that also have a PDA like the Treo by Palm.

I have a Palmone z22 but i dont think it would work for your situation. It is probably the most basic pda palm has.you could go to www.palmone.com to search for other ones that may fit.

if you want a one w/o a cell built in i'd get a Palm Tungsten T3 mine was only $199 right from palm
tip: buy right of palm.com then you get a much better deal and you get a free case that works great only thing is no belt clip.
If you buy off ebay you don't get a free case with it.

Dell Axim X30 I think that is about $230. Expandable and is really nice I love mine.

You should get the Palm Pilot T/X and it is sold for about $300.00. I have one and it is absolutely amazing.

u can buy small note book and pencil where u can not down every thing , adress, mail. every thing best alternative than palm one. it even doesn't damage when u throw it u can edit the documents by erasing the prevous files. so try this u can bye thousands of it from $250 dollar
