There's no such thing as wrong poetry. Its easy to write about what we feel... it doesn't always have to be about "happy things" and its good to get it out. but if you feel you need to become a more advanced writer use a thesaurus widen you vocabulary. It sounds much better. And for substance always use emotion, it doesn't really matter what it is. Emotion gives literature depth.

You can also write about happy things. Like you getting everything you want and your friend is out on the curb. LOL. Its ok to write about sad things but what you can do is maybe try to think about something happy and sad. You win the lottery make some pottery meet chris dautry. LOL.

keep writing poetry.

Poetry is a creative outlet. Write about whatever the f*ck you want. It's fine... (though your topics are a little cliche and teenage angsty, but if it makes you relieved or happy to get bottled up emotions down on paper, go for it).

It states which you do not write songs, yet this very almost is lyrical. thank you for sharing your skills. be careful to not do too lots rhyming. in case you want to submit, that has an inclination to entice interest...specifically in case you have not saved the rhythm sturdy. it somewhat is nicely achieved inspite of the shown fact that, sturdy interest.
