I am a girl and if I had to choose it would be my child...my husband has lived a nice long life...my child has not_

This would be really tough, but I 've always thought I'd save my wife first. (Even though she would probably kill me for saying it). There are several reasons I say this.
Number 1: I married her not knowing or caring if I ever had kids (yes, I do love my kids).
Number 2: I can make more kids with her (Or I could if I hadn't had a vasectomy).
Number 3: Depending on the scenario, perhaps she could also help me save our kids.
Number 4: I plan on spending the rest of my life with her when eventually my kids will be moving out and probably hardly talking to me.
There are probably plenty of reasons to do either depending on you and your relationship with your spouse. I don't want to have people attacking me for choosing the way I do... screw you in advance. I also suspect this answer would be different for most women, who I suspect would go to their kids first hands down.
However, this is not to say that I would stop trying after my wife was safe. The ideal answer to this question would be this: I don't care what the situation is, you can bet your *** I would save everyone, or die trying. (but I wasn't given that choice).

This question will cause nightmares! Thank God my wife stole $38,000 from me and my 2partners company,hid the fact that $6,000 in personal bills hadn't been paid then disapeared on Nov.27 with my daughter (under 3) and all the cash, I haven't seen or heard from her since. For me that would be an easy pick, but even if all that hadn't happened how could anyone watch a child die?

If it were the other way around I being a wife and mother would save my husband because I was a wife before I was a mother and We could always have more children

I am not a guy but having the choice I would not decide at all! I would either die with them or I would gladly give my life to save them all so they could continue on because they know their happiness and futures are what I live for anyway. but this is a very disturbing question.

My child,but would try to save both if possible,not sure why you are asking this one,what are you up to? Why because of the love for them,that is an easy answer but the whole question gives me the creeps

My son or daughter as they would have much more of a life to lead. I wouldn't save my wife's because she's had much more life experience than them.

well i'm not a guy but I would save my child I love my husband but the lifes of my children are more valuable to me they are young and have a lot of life left to live my husband would want me to save a child over him as well.
