my PS2 wont work. only the games with the silver side would work. other than that, the blue sided ones wont work. why?

a game i just got doesnt even work because it is blue sided. But my other silver sided one works and it is scratcthed up like crazy and it still works. for some reason blue sided disks dont work. Why?

Some discs get too scratched to ever work again.
that, or your ps2 might suffer a common problem where it refuses to read certain types of discs
if you think it is not either of those...read this link (in the sources)
