I'm a little cautious of injuring myself playing sports...?
I have gotten injured a lot in sports. I've broken bones, sprained ankles many of times. Im a little cautious of jumping up high towards the hoop to draw a foul when i drive threw the lane in basketball because i dont wanna come down and be out 4-8 weeks on a sprained ankle. Im also a little cautious when trying to draw the offensive foul by falling back because ive broken my wrist before trying to brace a fall.
Any way(s) of just putting this fear or cautiousness out of my mind or forgetting it. Thank you

Either go big or go home. If your not willing to risk injury then you will be dominated by those who are.

Trust me when I say this. Don't play if you don't want to get hurt. It sounds like you play basketball well so do I and I have to tell you that I love to get hurt when I play because the next day when I go to school I have a story to tell. If you are trying to draw a foul just fall down...don;t try to brace the fall. If you let your whole body just drop to the court it is more likely that the ref will call the foul. I learned that the hard way. I broke my middle finger and my index finger in a basketball game in the first quarter, I just kept on playing. My coach noticed my fingers where purple and swollen, but I refused to be benched and she knew I was tough so she kept me in. Most people love their battle wounds. If you love the game get over it and don't worry about getting hurt just play!!!! Like that saying goes, GO HARD OR GO HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

interesting question,i used to play Aussie rules football and have broken a few bones along the way,i always found if you go hard and commited for the ball you come out better than if you are hesitant and soft with your approach,i think injuries in sport are just luck of the draw and eventually you'll get one so you have to decide wheather your desire to play outweighs your fear of getting hurt.good luck

You cant be worried about getting injured while playing sports. If you really love basketball they play it and dont worry about getting injured. I fyou just do it because you like it a little then I dont think that its worht playing then. Your gonna get hurt anyway so dont hold back. Give it all you've got and if you get hurt then oh well, you get hurt.

Getting help on those vulnerable ankles will do you lots of sturdy. you may get your ankles taped via a coach or coach, if attainable, or you will desire to purchase lace-up or velcro strap ankle braces. there are different sturdy sort names to seek for in a sturdy ankle brace. they are able to be offered in some drug shops and wearing products shops. Ask some coaches and running shoes what sort they advise and the place to bypass to purchase a sequence. it somewhat is going to offer secure practices and peace of recommendations once you play ball.

I would have to agree with "the loser" it sounds like either you don't love what your doing or you are just really scared. If you don't love or enjoy what you are doing then don't do it because you are only hindering the people that do love to do it. if you are really just that afraid i suggest ankle braces or higher topped shoes maybe. other than that you just have to overcome your fears. its what the best do and that why they are the best.
