It depends on how good the hair piece is, how well it matches your color & how well you put it on and camouflage it.

A friend of mine wears her's almost every day. She dyed her hair to match it and no one can tell. (I found one that matched mine last week.) Her's is a large spring clip covered with a hair piece, she just pulls back her hair into the clip and she looks fabulous in 2 minutes. No one knows that she didn't grow it and didn't spend hours in a beauty shop.
