I know you don't want to hear this, but you should go to the doctor. If you have a serious injury, you wouldn't pass a physical anyway. If you are a good player, then as long as your work hard to rehab and recover from this injury, I would think a scholarship would still be a possibility. Hiding from the doctor is ok for the short term (it's probably what I would have done in high school), but that will catch up to you.
If your injury is more serious and needs surgery, and I really hope it doesn't. Get 2 or 3 opinions from different doctors to make sure you can't hurt it more by playing through the rest of the season. Remember, the doctors can tell you what to do, BUT you are the paying customer and it is your ultimate decision. As far as what your parents want, well, that's a whole different battle!
GOOD LUCK!

My knee was hurt real bad and I decided I would not have surgery because I made varsity basketball as a fresh and didn't want to lose that opportunity. The docs had me on a bunch of meds that would keep the pain level down so I could play. 3 games before districts I was in so much pain my parents took me back to the doc. My femur and parts of my knee were completely dead and had to be removed. I had that surgery in February by May I was playing again. Of course I wasn't as strong as I used to be and came back to quick so in July I got hurt. I refused to go to the doctor to be told I needed surgery until in August I didn't pass my school physical. I found out I had bad nerve damage. I probably can't play for the rest of my life. So my point is see the doctor get what you need done before it gets too worse and you can't play ever again. Last year I would have told you play how can you not if you love it you are basically dead. But I would have glady patiently not have played for a few months instead of never playing again. Be patient, do the physical therapy, you'll be fine.

Put an icy-hot patch on it or you can wrap it heavily and play through, try not to wrap it too much or you could end up hurting the other knee.
